Day 2 at the Gabba delivered exactly what Australian fans love to see - England falling apart under pressure while their bowlers got absolutely roasted by the crowd.
Poor Will Jacks spent half the day on the boundary cocopping it from the locals who called him "Jocksy" all day. They let him know exactly what they thought of England's bowling (too short), Stokes's tactics (garbage), and Bazball (fundamentally broken).
Australia scored at 5.17 runs per over - comfortable cruising speed
England dropped 4 crucial catches - Smith behind stumps, Duckett twice in gully, Carse's sitter at cover
Every Aussie batter chipped in - Head, Weatherald (72), Labuschagne (65), Green (45), Smith (61)
Australia took the lead with 33 minutes still left in the day
Stokes tried his hero act, bowling unchanged and turning it into a one-man show. Didn't work. Archer bowled an hour straight after tea for just one wicket.
Jacks's sensational catch at short fine leg to remove Smith. After copping abuse all day from the outer, his celebration said everything - pure redemption.
England needs 10 more players with Jacks's resilience tomorrow, or this Test is done.
