About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Timber Mill Offsider to join our team. This hands-on role involves assisting mill operators in the day-to-day running of the sawmill, ensuring timber is processed efficiently and safely. At times you will be required to travel away from home for work, in these instances you will travel with the mill operator and your accommodation will be paid for.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist saw operators with feeding, tailing out and stacking timber

• Remove offcuts and waste materials from the production area

• Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Perform general labouring duties around the mill as required

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a sawmill, timber yard, or labouring role (preferred but not essential)

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Forklift licence or loader experience (advantageous)
