Below are the guidelines for using the Travel/Tourism channel.

This channel is dedicated to sharing travel and trip-related information across categories such as Sydney/NSW, Melbourne/VIC, Brisbane/QLD, other states/cities, national parks/nature spots, road trips/driving routes, camping/outdoor, overseas travel, travel companions wanted, travel tips & reviews, and more.
Our aim is to build a community where members share destination recommendations, travel itineraries, experiences, companion search posts, outdoor activity info, travel tips, photos, and useful advice — helping each other plan and enjoy travel.

Respect & Consideration: This community includes members with diverse backgrounds and travel styles. Please respect others’ opinions, tastes, and experiences.
Honest & Useful Information: When sharing travel tips, itineraries, costs, or reviews — be as accurate and specific as possible.
Copyright & Attribution Respect: If you share photos, maps, guides, or other content created by others, cite the source. Avoid unauthorized use of copyrighted materials.
Constructive and Helpful Dialogue: When posting experiences or reviews, focus on what can help others — share facts and helpful insights more than judgments or negativity.

You may post:

Region-specific travel information and tips (Sydney/NSW, Melbourne/VIC, Brisbane/QLD, other regions)
National parks, nature spots, hiking, outdoor & camping/travel-outdoor activity information
Road trip or driving route plans and reviews
Domestic or international travel recommendations and trip reports
Posts seeking travel companions (friends, groups, travel buddies)
Travel preparation tips: budgeting, packing, insurance, transportation, accommodation advice, best travel times, etc.
Photos, itineraries, maps, and travel resources — with proper sources or your own content
Travel tips or Q&A: questions about travel, recommendations, problem-solving, advice requests

Do not post or encourage:

False or exaggerated claims (e.g. “the only safe place”, “guaranteed best experience”)
Sharing personal sensitive information of others (contact info, addresses, etc.)
Advice or encouragement for illegal or unethical activities — trespassing, unauthorized stays, copyright infringement, etc.
Discriminatory, hateful, or derogatory content based on race, nationality, gender, religion, etc.
Political or religious agitation, or divisive debates unrelated to travel or tourism
Commercial advertisements, referral links, unsolicited promotions, or marketing posts without admin approval
Spam, duplicate posts, flood posts, or irrelevant content
Use of copyrighted content without permission (photos, texts, maps, etc.)
Explicit, violent, offensive, or inappropriate content

Be specific: include destination, travel dates, budget, group size, travel style, or other relevant details for itinerary/tips
When possible, add photos, maps or itinerary outlines — cite sources or indicate they’re your own
When asking for advice or suggestions, include what you’ve already looked up or tried — helps others give better feedback
If you received helpful tips or used shared information, consider posting a follow-up sharing your experience or results
Express gratitude — a simple “thank you” for helpful replies goes a long way
