Hello from the OzyKozy Admin Team.
Below are the guidelines for using the Events/Meetups channel.
This channel is for sharing and organizing various gatherings and events: regular meetups, spontaneous small meetups, language exchanges, sports or exercise groups, study sessions/seminars, cultural performances, festivals/events, parties/birthdays, networking events, volunteer activities, and other community-driven gatherings.
The goal is to foster community connection: helping members meet, share interests, exchange information, and create memories through group activities.
Respect & Consideration: Members come from diverse backgrounds and preferences. Please respect each other’s choices and treat everyone with courtesy.
Honesty & Transparency: Clearly state the event’s purpose, date/time, location, participation fee (if any), number of participants, and any conditions or requirements. Misleading or exaggerated information is prohibited.
Safety & Responsibility: For offline events, ensure that venue, capacity, and safety considerations are appropriate. Include a contact person or organizer when possible.
Privacy Protection: Do not share private personal information (phone numbers, addresses, identifications) about attendees or third parties without consent.
Constructive Community Spirit: Focus on positive, helpful sharing — encourage feedback and respect for different opinions, avoid negativity or hostility.
You may post:
Announcements for regular meetups or small spontaneous gatherings (language exchange, hobbies, sports, study groups, etc.)
One-time events: concerts, festivals, cultural events, parties, volunteering events, networking events, etc.
Calls for companions or group participants — e.g. looking for travel buddies, workout partners, club members
Event reviews or follow-up posts: sharing experience, photos, feedback, tips for future attendees
Study sessions, seminars, workshops, or hobby classes organized by community members
Do not post or promote:
Misleading or false event information (exaggerated promises, incorrect date/venue, etc.)
Events promoting or facilitating illegal, unsafe, or unethical activities (violence, abuse, exploitation, unlawful behavior)
Sharing personal sensitive data of others without explicit consent
Discriminatory, hateful, or abusive content based on race, gender, religion or other protected characteristics
Political or religious propaganda, radical political events, or divisive political/religious gatherings unrelated to the community’s purpose
Commercial advertising, referral links, sponsorship solicitation, or profit-driven promotions without prior admin approval
Spam, duplicate postings, flooding the channel with repeated content
Sharing copyrighted photos, videos, or content without permission or proper attribution
Explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive content unfit for general audiences
Include event name, purpose, date/time, location (with address or map link), participation cost (if any), capacity/participant limit, contact person or organizer info, and clear instructions to join.
Use clear, concise titles and descriptions — avoid gimmicky or sensational formatting.
If images, flyers, or maps are included — ensure you have the right to share them, or use your own.
When requesting companions or participants — specify what you’re looking for (age, language, activity level, preferences, etc.) to help match properly.
After the event, consider posting a review or feedback — what went well, what to prepare next time, helpful tips, etc.
Participation in offline events is at your own risk. Confirm venue, transport, safety, and meet-up logistics yourself.
If you notice unsafe behavior, illegal activity, or harassment — report immediately to admins or block the user.
The community does not guarantee safety or outcomes; participation is voluntary, and members are responsible for their own decisions.
All event postings are created by community members voluntarily. We do not guarantee accuracy or that the details remain up-to-date.
Before joining any event, please verify details directly with the organizer (date, location, costs, etc.).
OzyKozy is not responsible for any issues, damages, or legal matters arising from participation; responsibility lies with event organizers and participants.
We hope this channel helps build a vibrant, friendly, and safe community for everyone’s gatherings and events.
