Below are the guidelines for using the Food & Recipes channel.

1. Channel Purpose

  • This channel covers a wide range of food- and recipe-related topics: recipes, Western cuisine, Asian cuisine, baking/desserts, ready meals / meal kits, diet / healthy meals, ingredient information, cooking tips & kitchen tools, recipe requests, food photos / sharing, and other cooking- or food-related subjects.

  • Our aim is to build a community where members share home-cooked recipes, restaurant experiences, healthy meal ideas, cooking tips, ingredient sourcing advice, food photos and reviews โ€” helping each other through shared culinary experiences.

2. Basic Principles

  • Respect & Consideration: We welcome members with diverse backgrounds and tastes. Please respect each otherโ€™s preferences and opinions.

  • Honest & Useful Information: When sharing recipes or tips, try to write as clearly and accurately as possible โ€” include ingredients, amounts, cooking time, difficulty, and cooking tips if you have them.

  • Respect Copyright & Sources: If you use someone elseโ€™s recipe or photo, clearly cite the source. Avoid posting content without permission or proper attribution.

  • Constructive Conversation: Focus on sharing experiences and helpful advice rather than criticism or negativity.

3. Permitted Posts

You may post:

  • Full recipes โ€” including ingredient list, measurements, cooking instructions, and optional tips

  • Various cuisine styles โ€” Western, Asian, baking/desserts, meal-kit adaptations, healthy/diet recipes

  • Ingredient information โ€” discussion about ingredientsโ€™ characteristics, substitutions, buying tips

  • Cooking tips & tools โ€” advice on kitchen equipment, time-saving cooking methods, storage suggestions

  • Food photos & reviews โ€” share photos of dishes you made, taste reviews, reactions from family/friends

  • Recipe requests โ€” asking for recipes, meal ideas, or cooking suggestions based on given ingredients

  • Healthy / diet meal ideas and information

4. Prohibited Content & Behavior

Do not post or share:

  • Recipes or photos copied without permission or proper citation

  • Misleading or exaggerated claims (e.g. โ€œEat this and you will definitely lose weightโ€)

  • Advice encouraging illegal or unethical cooking or food practices

  • Discriminatory, hateful, or derogatory content based on race, nationality, gender, religion, etc.

  • Commercial advertisements, affiliate/referral links, sponsorship solicitations, or profit-oriented posts without prior admin approval

  • Spam, duplicate posts, or flooding the channel

  • Very provocative, excessively graphic, violent, or offensive content
