All-time low price on Amazon AU. 1080p pan/tilt WiFi camera with motion detection and night vision up to 30 feet. Free delivery with Prime.
Works fine without subscription - just add SD card for local recording or use their free Tapo hub. Can record 24/7 continuously or motion-only. Has ONVIF support so works with NVR systems and Home Assistant. Some users even run it outdoors despite not being water-resistant.
TP-Link has history of vulnerabilities (check CVE database). Cloud storage means potential access by others - Eufy had unencrypted feed issues. Local SD card means thieves can just take the camera. Privacy risk if used in bedrooms/kids rooms. Some users recommend blocking certain IPs on router or flashing custom firmware (requires disassembly).
Only 1080p so face/plate recognition at distance is iffy. Better for pet monitoring than actual security. If you want proper security system, this ain't it - you need locked server storage, not SD cards thieves can pocket.
At $27 it's decent for casual use. Just don't expect Fort Knox.
